7 Quick Takes

--- 1 ---

I have been in a huge blogging rut lately. Forgive me for not keeping up with it. We are consumed with day to day life and the adoption drama. I will be posting again LOTS once I am a little more certain we can proceed.

--- 2 ---

Our agency is still fighting for us, and we are sending some stuff to Nico's country soon. This has renewed my faith that we will be able to continue, just a bit. Let me tell you, it's a lot nicer than sitting around waiting for something to happen and not knowing what the future holds.

--- 3 ---

Please pray for the families that are over there now fighting to get their kids. And please pray for a family that is heading over there early February for a court date. No one knows what will happen. We are praying for a miracle. These babies need to come home! They deserve families.

--- 4 ---

My kiddos have been passing around some sort of sickness this week. Charlotte got it the worst and she's still recovering. She screamed most of yesterday and I'm so sad for her. Hope she feels better soon.

This about sums up our week.

--- 5 ---
Today is the March for Life on DC. We usually go to the one in Phoenix, but this year they held a rally on a Tuesday and there was no way I could make it. Bummed...

What's sick and unsurprising is that the MSM is ignoring the HUGE march on DC as usual. 500,000 people at least, showed up to stand up for those babies.

Although our fundraising has come to a stop, we still have a few amazing people that believe in us and our FSP reached $4,000 yesterday! I am so grateful for these little ups in this very scary process.

--- 7 ---

Let's end with a funny, shall we?

Happy weekend!

Psalm 10

A friend sent this to me tonight. It is so relevant. Please continue to pray for Nico's country.

Psalm 10

1 Why, Lord, do you stand far off?
Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
2 In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak,
who are caught in the schemes he devises.
3 He boasts about the cravings of his heart;
he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.
4 In his pride the wicked man does not seek him;
in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
5 His ways are always prosperous;
your laws are rejected by[b] him;
he sneers at all his enemies.
6 He says to himself, “Nothing will ever shake me.”
He swears, “No one will ever do me harm.”
7 His mouth is full of lies and threats;
trouble and evil are under his tongue.
8 He lies in wait near the villages;
from ambush he murders the innocent.
His eyes watch in secret for his victims;
9 like a lion in cover he lies in wait.
He lies in wait to catch the helpless;
he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.
10 His victims are crushed, they collapse;
they fall under his strength.
11 He says to himself, “God will never notice;
he covers his face and never sees.”
12 Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God.
Do not forget the helpless.
13 Why does the wicked man revile God?
Why does he say to himself,
“He won’t call me to account”?
14 But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted;
you consider their grief and take it in hand.
The victims commit themselves to you;
you are the helper of the fatherless.
15 Break the arm of the wicked man;
call the evildoer to account for his wickedness
that would not otherwise be found out.
16 The Lord is King for ever and ever;
the nations will perish from his land.
17 You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted;
you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,
18 defending the fatherless and the oppressed,
so that mere earthly mortals
will never again strike terror.

Checking In

I have not felt like blogging much. I've been trying to soak in my girls and be thankful for what I have in the midst of all this drama.

But, I wanted to pop in and give you a quick update.

We were submitted to superior court for approval on December 21st and it will likely take a couple months for it to go through. The ban on adoptions in his country, so far, have not delayed our process at all. We are hoping and praying that we will be allowed to continue. We will hopefully know more this week or next.

The only thing this has affected so far is our fundraising (and my sanity). But I trust that The Lord will provide as He has already to bring him home.

Please pray for all of the families in process. Especially those who are choosing to travel for gotcha trips in this uncertainty. Pray for the children who need families. And pray for the hearts of politicians, that their hearts will be broken for the children.
